So the process kicked off with an initial HR phone screener, which was super quick and actually helpful because they suggested I apply for a different department that was a better fit for my background. Then there was a phone interview with the hiring manager, which had pretty standard questions. After that, I had a Zoom interview with two other CSMs, which felt more relaxed and gave me a good vibe for the role. Somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd interview, I took an aptitude test – definitely worth prepping for that. The next step was a Zoom interview with the Relationship Manager's hiring manager, and it was a bit like a first interview with more situational questions. All these were 30-minute interviews and went by fast. The next big thing was a presentation interview with the hiring manager and some peers. They give you data and a prompt, and you build a PowerPoint. I found it tough because I don't have direct CSM experience, but the presentation deck had helpful notes. I think I got nervous during the mock presentation part. I had 5 days to prep, which was good. They gave feedback afterwards and I could ask questions. They mentioned interviewing lots of candidates and didn't give a timeline, which felt like a signal. I didn't get to the final meeting with the VP of CS. The whole experience was positive though, they were receptive and gave me a good chance. It was educational, especially learning about the B2B world since I'm new to tech. They seemed open to hiring people from different backgrounds.

Behavioral Presentation

It's a multi-step process, usually 3-4 rounds. First, you chat with the hiring manager, which is pretty open-ended and about getting to know each other. Then, there are a few more chats with your potential manager and teammates to see if you'd fit the team culture and if you have the right skills. The last part involves a practice demo, a closing conversation, or a partnership review. I've been on hiring panels before, and G2 interviews are usually pretty good – they aren't trying to trick you or make things overly stressful. It can sometimes take a while to hear back if you're not selected, but they are working on improving that.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I'd approach G2 with a lot of caution. The process included an initial recruiter call, a quick cognitive test (50 questions in 15 mins), and then 8 interviews. One of these was a full hour presentation to a panel. Despite all this, I never got a response from the hiring manager or talent acquisition. Three different people there, even a VP, said sorry about how long the process was. I followed up three times after my last interview, and they said I'd hear back in a week. Eventually, I had to let them know I'd accepted another offer. It was disappointing because the people seemed great, and I was really into the company and the job until the very end.
