First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at G&A.
Intern
It was a pretty simple process. There were 3 rounds with a junior person, a senior person, and the manager. Everyone was friendly, and I got a response within a few days. It was mostly behavioral questions and a presentation about stuff I'd done in school or elsewhere.
- Tell me about your interest in this role and the company.
UX Designer
So, the first interview was about 30 minutes long, where we discussed my portfolio. They were particularly interested in my design projects related to physical spaces and asked about my experience with creative technology, as opposed to typical website or app design. The second interview involved a whiteboard challenge. During this challenge, I had a UX designer and a Content researcher acting as my teammates to assist me.
- Be sure to highlight your physical space design experience, as that's what they're most interested in.
Business Development
I applied online and then was invited for an in-person interview. The interview lasted an hour, and we also did a tour. I received an offer the very next day. The team there is really friendly and open, and they were upfront about how fast-paced the job is and that you'll need to handle many different tasks and a lot of stress regularly. I thought the honesty was great, and if you're someone who likes a challenge, it seems like a good place to be.
- Can you describe how you manage handling multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and communications daily?
Graphic Designer
The interview process was disappointing. After initial Skype interviews that went well, they invited me for a full day of interviews and a tour, which lasted six hours. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up, even though I accepted another offer soon after. I heard from another candidate that they tend to take a long time to make decisions. It was frustrating not to hear back after investing so much time. Apparently, this is a common experience.
- The questions asked were pretty standard.
