The hiring manager asked me some really good questions about the company and how it works. She wanted to know if I understood their mission, values, and what they're aiming for in the future, and if I'd fit in. She also got into the nitty-gritty of accounting, like how I handle financial reporting, budgeting, and making sure everything follows the rules.

Behavioral Technical

The initial communication for the interview was good. However, when I got to the interview, I felt like it was a waste of my time. The interviewer was almost half an hour late. During the interview, his phone kept ringing and he kept answering it, interrupting me. He also had two translators. The first one wasn't technically knowledgeable and kept asking me to explain technical terms. Then, a second translator came in, who was a bit more technically knowledgeable. But the person he was translating kept asking me about my professors and my classes, which was annoying because it meant he hadn't read my resume. This was surprising since my resume is in English, and if he had read it, he would have known I'd been out of school for over 4.5 years. I felt like maybe if my resume was translated to Chinese, I would have had a better chance. I've never been in an interview where I felt so defeated because I couldn't sell myself. This was the absolute worst interview experience I've ever had. It was a complete waste of my time and very disorganized.

Submitted my application and then got a call to schedule a phone screen. We talked about the program details, if I was a good fit for the company, salary and benefits, and my career plans. The phone screen lasted about an hour. After that, we decided to set up an in person interview. This interview was with a group of people (2-4) which included HR staff and plant managers. I got a job offer about 3 days later, and I have 2 days to decide if I want to accept it.
