The interview process started with an online seminar about the company's products, followed by a code sample assessment. You had to figure out what the code did and then clean it up by removing unnecessary parts while keeping its core functionality. The onsite part included a presentation by the CFO about the company, then a coding exercise session where I worked on some problems for an hour. After that, a group of interviewers reviewed my work and asked about my experience. Finally, there was a tour of the facilities. The whole experience felt a bit like they were trying too hard to impress, and the work environment for the engineers seemed subpar, which made me glad not to get an offer.

So I applied and then got a coding exercise to do at home. It was nice to show what I can do technically without the pressure of being on-site. After I sent that in, they invited me for an on-site interview. The whole thing took less than an hour. They showed me around campus and I met two people who are senior in the department. We talked about my tech background, my experience, and what I want to do in the future. They also gave me an overview of Futurex's market position and their main technology. The second on-site interview involved more 1-on-1 meetings with people from different departments. Some conversations were more technical than others, so it was good to be ready for that. We finished with quick introductions to several employees in different areas during another campus tour.

It all kicked off with this webinar thing, you know, about the company - who they are, what they do, who they sell to. Then, they hit us with an untimed coding challenge. Basically, they sent over some code and asked us to make it better. After that, a phone call. They chatted about the company again, gave more deets on the work vibe, and I got to ask my questions. The last part was this on-site thing, lasted like 4 hours. First, a chat with someone who recapped the company stuff. Then, we talked about my coding test solution. After that, I met the project leads, and bam, another coding test. This one had 10 problems, varying difficulty, with a one-hour time limit to see how many we could nail. We wrapped up with a group interview with the project leads, where we went over the second coding test and they answered my remaining questions. Oh, and a campus tour was thrown in. Pretty cool experience overall.
