Graphic Designer
The person who was supposed to interview me emailed me 30+ minutes late to reschedule, saying they forgot. They rescheduled for 12pm the same day. During the interview, they were very short and rude, like I was bothering them during their lunch. Just based on this, I'm glad I didn't get an offer. It makes me wonder what the company is like if the interviewer is forgetful and rude.
- Can you tell me about your background, why you want to work here, and what skills you possess?
Digital Marketing Specialist
I was recruited by a recruiter at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN who handles much of the hiring for SelectAccount. First, I had a phone interview, which was very high-level and consisted of standard phone interview questions. Then, I had my first onsite interview with the direct manager and the team I would be joining. The questions were a bit more challenging, but not too difficult, mostly focusing on my experience and skills. The third and final interview was also onsite, again with the direct manager and team. If you reach this stage, you're a top candidate. They re-verified my experience with new questions and asked some personal questions to gauge team fit and confirm my genuine interest in working at SelectAccount, going into more detail about benefits, culture, and daily tasks. I received a call within a week regarding an offer and discussed benefits and pay in detail. The process was very professional, and they were transparent about follow-up times, always following through as promised. My direct manager's vacation slightly delayed the process, but it was clearly communicated, so it wasn't an issue.
- How can your experience help achieve our organizational goals?
Interactive Marketing Specialist
It started with a recorded screen interview, which I totally thought I bombed, but surprisingly, HR reached out within a week. They then invited me to chat with the Marketing Manager and the VP of Marketing and Sales. This chat was pretty laid-back, more of a conversation about my background than a rigid Q&A. HR got back to me the very next day, and I ended up starting a few weeks later. The whole experience was awesome!
- What's the reason for leaving your current job?
Consumer Experience Analyst
I got an automated phone call where I had to answer some questions. Once I began, I couldn't go back and change my answers. This was unexpected as I thought I'd have time to think and formulate good responses. I didn't realize until later that this wasn't possible. I'm surprised I received a callback.
