Got contacted for an interview a month after applying on LinkedIn. They started with a general company overview (operations, goals, departments). Then, they asked very specific technical questions about RF and telecommunications, the kind you'd expect to memorize rather than derive. It felt like they weren't interested in my problem-solving skills or thought process, just rote knowledge. They didn't ask anything about me or my CV, which made the whole thing feel impersonal. The worst part was that after I passed the first interview, they cancelled the second one on the day of, with no explanation. My emails went unanswered, which was really unprofessional for such a big company.

I got an interview within 5 days of applying. First, there was an HR interview to give a brief overview, and then a technical interview that lasted 45 minutes. We discussed my resume and touched upon what they were looking for in the job. They also asked some questions about antenna beamwidths.

It was a professional and technical interview, mostly done over the phone. They asked me about ways to improve LTE, UMTS, and GSM networks, covering topics like drops, accessibility, congestion, and quality improvement initiatives. After the interview, HR reached out to discuss salaries, which were pretty standard for the market. Overall, it's been a good experience working at FES for about a year.
