Had a phone screen with the CEO, then an onsite technical interview, and then a personal interview also with the CEO. The onsite was in person and everyone there was really nice. The office is cool and the employees seem happy.

I talked with the company owner, who seemed like a good person who cared about his company. But that's it. He said he didn't care about technical skills and wanted a certain 'type of person.' He knew about bad online reviews and said lots of people wouldn't want to work here. He didn't ask about my resume at all. It was all about morals, values, and ethics, kinda like asking about religion. When I asked about onboarding and training, he was like 'I don't know, I'm not in charge.' When I asked about tech, he just gave buzzword answers. This isn't a normal tech interview. It made me wonder about their hiring, and it felt like a waste of time.

AVOID this company and don't bother applying! This was the most confusing 1 hour and 15 minute phone interview ever. The interviewer (owner/founder) was unprofessional and derailed the interview for 45 minutes asking irrelevant questions. Then, he asked me to do the "CliftonStrengths Online Talent Assessment" to explain why I want to do the job I applied for, even though I already gave concrete examples. He was confusing himself and leading me in circles. This is a huge red flag for working here. This was the worst interview experience ever.

I had a lengthy phone conversation with the CEO. We talked about what I wanted to get out of the internship, my current skills, and if my career aspirations fit with the company's direction. We then moved on to brainstorm potential roles and responsibilities for an intern within the company.
