I applied online and then had a recruiter screen. After that, there was a student affairs panel, and I had to give a five-minute outreach pitch. I also met with ambassadors. They did a reference check, and then I got an offer. I signed and started onboarding. My work involves coordinating events, tabling, partner emails, tracking metrics, making classroom announcements, and creating social content.

I dressed formally for the interview. I found the professors to be very polite and would have enjoyed working with them. My sense is that the professors enjoy working at Furman.

The interview process started with a phone interview. After that, I had an on-campus interview where I met with my potential co-workers and people from related offices. We talked about new goals for the University and how to be aware of diversity when advising students. The on-campus interviews were long and took up the whole day. It was a positive experience meeting the faculty.

It was a 3-round interview process. It felt really quick, like they wanted to hire someone fast since the role had been open for a while. I felt a bit rushed when I tried asking the team about the job.
