Pay close attention because you'll be waiting for your turn, but I found this technique very essential for training new professionals.

The hiring process had three parts. First was a written test with 10 multiple-choice questions about: improving breathing, donning and doffing, international goals, medication checks, and relating meds to their class. It also included 2 calculation questions (oral meds, percentages, mg in solutions) and 4 essay questions (What is MAV? Care for SVD? Signs of Stroke. Enema). The calculations and essays were worth more points. The first two parts were elimination rounds. The second part was a practical test with three questions to answer in 2 minutes. In a room, nursing items were laid out to identify (like probes, chlorhexidine, polifix). You had to identify the syringe angle and state if the med was IM, IV, SC, or ID. After leaving the room, a nurse asked about the protocol for a patient in CPR and to explain the step-by-step for oral medication. I took the second part yesterday. The feedback for the first part was quick, I got an email the next day. I'm waiting for feedback on the second part. They said those who passed would get an email within a week to come in the next day for an interview with a nurse, HR, and a psychologist. The interview stage doesn't eliminate you, it's just for ranking your order on the call list for the position. The test was in 08/2024.
