First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fulton Bank.
Business Analyst Intern
This interview process was efficient smooth and easygoing overall. The interviewer was kind professional and welcoming which made the experience comfortable. I would absolutely participate in this process again in the future.
- Could you describe your five-year plan?
Universal Banker
I had a phone screen and the questions were average. They asked if I would travel for training and I mentioned I thought it would be in Mt. Laurel where I worked before. The HR rep said they train in both Mt. Laurel and Lancaster. I said I have a young child and my husband's schedule isn't flexible so I might have to wait for Mt. Laurel training. She said it's a job requirement and people make it work. Then I had a face-to-face interview that was over an hour with about 15-20 questions. The questions were very difficult and some didn't make sense. After 2 interviews, the HR rep called and left a voicemail saying I was 'not qualified'. They put me through the whole process just to say I wasn't qualified, which is unprofessional.
- Tell me about a group activity you were part of and explain your contribution.
- Were you open to traveling for training purposes?
- Would you be willing to travel for training between Mt. Laurel and Lancaster?
Data Engineer
Had an initial phone screen with HR. I didn't hear back for a few weeks, so I followed up. A few days after that, they let me know I was moving on. The next step was a panel interview with three people, including the hiring manager, which lasted about an hour. It was a pretty standard interview, nothing too crazy. Unfortunately, after that, I was ghosted. I even sent a follow-up email that they ignored. It was disappointing because I was really interested in the job and had taken time off during my workweek for it.
- What are the standard interview questions for this Data Engineer role?
Banking
It starts with looking over your application, then there's a quick phone or video chat. After that, you might do one or more interviews either in person or online where they ask you behavioral and technical stuff. They might also give you some assessments or case studies. Then they check your references before making an offer. This can change depending on what industry you're in, the specific job, and how big the company is.
