The HR team was super quick and responsive, making the whole process very efficient. It had 4 rounds: first, a video chat with the hiring manager to go over my resume. Then, I had to do this cool assignment that we then discussed on a video call. After that, there was a really good chat with the team in the US. Finally, I had a final interview with the HR team, who were awesome. If you're interviewing here, remember they care about solid fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and good problem-solving skills. Honestly, it felt more like a great conversation than an interview, which I think most people would actually enjoy.

Behavioral Technical System Design

The interview had 4 rounds, mostly discussions. First was a phone screen with the team manager, where they explained the company's mission and I talked about my skills and experience. It was a friendly chat. Second, a technical interview with 4 people from the Kochi office. One asked about ReactJS and front-end stuff, another about Java and DBMS. It lasted about an hour and felt more like a discussion. The next round was with the US team, who asked about Java, MongoDB, MySQL, and some system design. This also lasted an hour and was a friendly chat. Finally, I discussed with senior management and got an offer. A box of snacks arrived two days later, which was a nice touch. The process was good, but my current company kept me, so I couldn't accept.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Questions testing ReactJS knowledge
  • Questions about optimizing MySQL queries for thousands of users and handling concurrent updates of DB by multiple threads
  • Questions testing Java knowledge, like design patterns, memory model, etc.

Behavioral Technical Other

There was an initial phone screening, followed by a test with 2 parts. The 1st part had 5 basic questions about social media sites and attention to detail. The 2nd part had 5 questions checking internet research skills using Google. This was followed by two interview rounds with a self-introduction, some behavioral questions, and personality-related questions. The whole process seemed unfair, with candidates being rejected randomly based on gut feeling rather than performance. Engineers should stay away as they might be ridiculed for being engineers and jobless.
