Recruiting Coordinator
The recruiting team did a wonderful job preparing me for my interview at my current company. They were so thoughtful and intentional in their preparations. It was great to get a call before the interview, and then understand the process more thoroughly as this was my first job out of college!
- Can you share an example of a challenging situation you faced and describe how you managed it?
Frontend Developer
I applied on LinkedIn and they called me for a phone interview. I was waiting for the call, and then the recruiter rescheduled for the next day. But then she didn't call the next day and just disappeared.
- Were you stood up for the phone interview?
Coordinator
The process felt unprofessional, starting with a weird Facetime switch during what was supposed to be a phone call with the hiring manager. Then, the scheduling for the next interview with the direct manager was messy, jumping to the CEO and then 4-5 other employees, all in one week. I was texted randomly by the hiring manager, sometimes during work hours, to add more people to talk to. It felt rushed, and they gave me a lot of false hope, with everyone saying I was a great fit and asking if I'd take the job. The CEO even interviewed me based on my background. After a week of 7 interviews and an assignment, I had to follow up the next week. They texted back saying they were changing the position and had no feedback. It was strange how they put me through so much and then just disappeared. They didn't respect my time and seemed directionless, interviewing without knowing what they wanted. It felt like they just used me and then tossed me aside.
- The interview questions were pretty standard.
Administrative
It was a very lengthy process, with over 7 interviews for an admin job. I felt micromanaged throughout my 1.5 years there. It was an extreme process for a low-paid admin position with no growth opportunities.
- Were there questions mainly focused on cultural fit and ensuring the right choice was made regarding the team's culture and your fit within it?
