First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fruit of the Loom, Inc..
Designer
The interview process was easy and went smoothly. There weren't any difficult questions, and it was a good opportunity to get to know everyone. The interviewers were nice and not rude. I interviewed with 3 people and spent most of the morning there.
- What is a collection you would think of for the company?
Accounting Team Lead
It was a process with 2 recruiters and 1 subject matter expert. They really wanted to know a lot about me, which is totally fine. However, they didn't answer my salary question and suggested my 'problems' might not fit the job, just because I mentioned needing to coordinate monthly vacation freezes with my partner and figure out my dog's care since he can't come to the office.
- The questions about my professional competence seemed a bit superficial at first, but they naturally became more in-depth as the conversation progressed.
Marketing
Got a call from HR about 2 weeks after I applied to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was with HR and was pretty generic. The on-site interview is with 4-6 people, depending on your level/role, and each person gets 30 minutes. The interviewers will be from the department the position is in, plus maybe 1 or 2 from a different department you'll work closely with (like sales). Questions are usually generic too. Some interviewers use a company-provided sheet that's EXTREMELY generic. Higher-up managers might ask more broad strategic questions, like 'how do you see ecommerce evolving over the next few years?'. They called references before making an offer, which came about 2 weeks after the on-site.
- Tell me about your greatest personal achievement.
- How do you anticipate e-commerce will evolve in the coming years?
HR
The interview was interesting with 4 different people asking questions in close quarters. The interviewers did not take the time to have a copy of my submitted resume during interview, however I had copy prepared for them in case there should be issue. It did not seem as though they had reviewed it previously at all. When I asked them to give me more details on what responsibilities of the role would include they did not have clear information or rather expectation.
- How do you handle a difficult situation?
