First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Frozen Fire.
Marketing Manager
The first interview was simple. The manager was super nice and welcoming. They asked questions based on your resume and experiences. You should research the company because they will ask you about it.
- What about our company made you consider applying for this position?
- What about the company made you interested in the role?
Account Executive
This was the weirdest interview experience ever. The interviewer was rude and seemed uninterested. He said it would be conversational, but it wasn't. He also just came off as rude. When I asked a question about my resume at the end, he responded rudely, saying it wasn't the right time. I thought there were better ways he could have handled that. He moved me forward, and I did a project. The night before it was due, I felt uneasy about the job and decided I wouldn't accept an offer from someone like that. I didn't try hard on the project and was cut at that round. What's frustrating is that if I were a male a few years older, he wouldn't have spoken to me that way.
- What would you say is your greatest strength?
Project Manager
To get started, they want you to "tell them a story no one else can tell." After I was contacted for an initial phone interview, I was given some test assignments with a deadline. These included writing a sample blog post, creating a video shot list, and showing an example of project communication. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview. I want to note that Dallas County had a mask mandate at the time, but the three interviewers didn't wear masks, and we weren't seated very far apart, which I felt contradicted social distancing guidelines. While I get that space can be an issue, I think they could have tried harder to create more distance. One interviewer was great, but another was a bit cold. They posted on social media about wearing masks and social distancing, which is not what I saw firsthand. Maybe they do that for clients, but it wasn't my experience.
- Can you share some project management tools you utilize?
Account Manager
The interview process felt a bit awkward, though the team's reputation seems to hold up based on what was discussed. The initial call with the recruiter was pretty rude, which was a bit of a letdown considering their known client work and overall image.
- Can you walk me through your background and experience?
