First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Frontage Laboratories.
Scientist
I had an interview with a technical screen. They asked me about HPLC, like when and how to use it in research, its challenges and how to overcome them. Also asked about teamwork experience and biggest mistake.
- Could you elaborate on the application of HPLC in research, including specific scenarios and methodologies?
- What difficulties have you encountered when using HPLC, and what strategies have you employed to address them?
- Can you share an instance of teamwork and the lessons you gained from that experience?
Scientist
The interview felt pretty laid-back and conversational. They answered all my questions, which was really helpful. It gave me a good sense of the company and its culture, especially since people from different departments were there. It was quite informative.
- Can you discuss your project?
- What are your views on this role?
- What about your commute?
Senior Scientist
Got referred by a classmate, so it wasn't much of an actual interview. It was more of a lab tour and then talking with some of the higher technical people and a lot of management. It felt like people were really busy and didn't have much time to chat. They seemed eager to get back to their work. They asked more about technical stuff than behavioral questions.
- What technical issues have you encountered?
