So, first there was the CV and motivation letter, then a call, and then 3hrs of online tests. The tests were a bit tricky to use cos they didn't have enough subscriptions for it. After that, radio silence. I sent follow-up emails but got no reply, nothing. Then, like, 2 months later, they finally responded, saying 'we don't do feedback'.

I had a migraine while waiting for my interview, which sometimes causes aura and leaves me speechless. I tried to explain this and got strange looks. They told me to go home and that they'd try to call me remotely in an hour. Anyone with migraines knows that wouldn't work because I was in a lot of pain and needed to lie down in a dark room for the rest of the day. When I said I couldn't do a remote call, that was the last I heard from them. I understand interviews need to happen quickly, but some care and courtesy would have been nice, like offering to reschedule for another day or at least an email hoping I was okay.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. I got a task 24 hours in advance, which was a written legal research piece about EU retained law, public, environmental, or planning law. Then, I had to present my findings for 5 minutes. The company, FOE, really had a great interview process, super flexible and considerate. They even set up a meeting after the interview to give me feedback on areas for improvement.

It was a pretty solid recruitment process. Started with sending in my CV and cover letter. Then, I had to pass a written test that focused on competencies. After that, it was a panel interview where they asked a mix of content-based, competency, and behavioral questions. Everyone was really friendly and respectful throughout.
