First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Friedman LLP.
Auditor
First, there was an HR screening call, then an interview with the partners. It was a pretty relaxed and easy conversation, mostly just general chat since the partners were very friendly. Finally, I had an interview with the HR manager, and then I got the offer.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
Auditor
Learned about the tax and audit at the firm in a boardroom with other potential hires. Then had three interviews with hr, a manager, and the coo. They said they'd get back to me within two weeks. Didn't hear back four weeks later, had to email hr for an update. Three days later, got an email saying no offer. I think this is unacceptable and unprofessional, they need to communicate better.
- Could you share some information about yourself?
Audit Associate
I approached FLLP at a campus job fair looking for an internship. After a quick chat with a recruiter, I learned they didn't offer internships but asked about my interest in a full-time role and availability for an interview later that day on campus. Despite my initial focus on internships for graduate school, I agreed to the interview. The process involved two one-hour interviews. I was impressed by their benefits and company culture, which ultimately led me to accept their offer and adjust my graduate school plans.
- Can you describe your usual strengths and weaknesses?
- Could you share an instance of a work-related conflict you encountered and how you resolved it?
- What makes you prefer a mid-sized firm over a Big Four firm?
