First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Freshworks.
Sales Development Representative
My interview experience with Freshworks for the SDR role was quite negative. The whole process took about a month and a half. I got through all the interview rounds and then the HR asked for my previous payslips, offer letter, and other documents to discuss salary. They said they'd get back in 2-3 days for the salary discussion but never did. I had to follow up, and the HR then informed me that my profile was put on hold. It was a waste of my time and energy, and I had even rejected other offers based on this. So, be smart and don't wait around too much.
- What do you know about Freshwork's products and services?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process involved 3 rounds. Two rounds were conducted by SDR leaders, and one round was with HR. The overall experience was positive and friendly, with a pleasant ambiance and good hospitality. The SDR rounds focused on assessing my understanding of the SDR role. The HR round was for discussing compensation. The blogs provided by the Freshworks HR POC were helpful in preparing for these rounds. You can find related information by searching Google for 'SDR + Freshsales'. I was offered free lunch, treated respectfully, received feedback after the interview, and was eventually extended an offer.
- Can you describe the responsibilities of an SDR?
Sales Development Representative
I applied for the inside sales role using the Freshworks careers page. The first step was an online test via Classmarker. After that, I was told I was eligible for another profile, Sales Development Representative (SDR), and invited for an interview on June 1st at their office. The initial round was a group discussion (GD) with 6 members, and I was shortlisted for the next stage. Then came the surprising part: the interviewer seemed uninterested and barely looked at my resume. For a sales role, I was shocked not to be asked to pitch a product. The interview ended in 10 minutes, which was unusual since others had theirs for 20-30 minutes. I was then informed I hadn't made it to the further rounds. I was curious about the reason, so I asked HR for feedback from the interviewer, but the response was unsatisfactory and unexpected from a company like Freshworks. Overall, it was a negative experience.
- Can you walk me through your resume and highlight your key skills?
