Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Freshworks.
Account Executive
The recruitment process was good and well-managed, with several stages like Recruitment, Hiring manager, Country leader, and SVP of, ending with a final panel interview followed by a great discussion with the HR Business Partner. What stood out most was the strong human approach throughout the process, especially in the final round, where we discussed topics beyond just business. I appreciated the quick and useful feedback after each stage. Expectations were clearly explained from the beginning, and the varied professional backgrounds of the interviewers gave me a clear idea of the role and the company culture. The team interactions and work environment made my experience better. I also contacted several current employees to hear their opinions. They were open, honest, and very helpful. The whole process took around two to three months and was extremely well-organized by the recruitment team. I highly recommend this recruitment experience.
- Can you share your sales background?
- What is your experience with customer experience (CX)?
Sales Executive
The process was slow, but they ended up hiring the candidates who deserved it. It started with a screening test where 150 people were shortlisted. Following that, there was a group discussion, after which 60 people moved on to the interview stage. The interview process itself consisted of two technical interviews and one HR interview. Ultimately, 8 out of the initial 60 were selected.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What motivates you to pursue a career in sales?
- What attracts you to Freshdesk specifically?
Enterprise Account Executive
I was contacted by the recruiter to set up an initial call with the head of sales in the UK. After we finally agreed on a time-slot, we had the call and it went well. We then agreed on next steps to come in for a face-to-face interview since there were no reservations. I was told I would hear back within a day, but I followed up 4 days later to be told that they had already made someone an offer who was more suitable. This is strange since I never met them in person. It makes me wonder why they interviewed me if they already had someone in the final stage and were going to move them to the next stage. Ultimately, I would have probably turned down the offer anyway because of how the company's senior management is run by Indians, with 2000 employees based in India.
- Can you describe your sales methods?
- Tell me about your experience with deal size.
- How do you approach prospecting?
