First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fresh Thyme Market.
Assistant Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter. First, there was a 30 min interview with the recruiter and then a 30 min interview with the DM. The follow-up was average and efficient. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it if you are looking for something new and exciting.
- What are your reasons for wanting to work at Fresh Thyme?
Produce Clerk
You'll have an in-person interview with one of the store managers. They're generally pretty friendly; if you get the muscular manager, he's nice but quiet. They really care about you being on time, and being friendly and good with customers is a big plus. Knowing someone there might help you get an interview, but they probably won't put you in the same department as your friend.
- Have you worked in a grocery store before?
Store Administrator
I got to the interview, and it turned out it had been double booked. The GM started interviewing me for the wrong job, and when I corrected him on the position I applied for, he said that role was "possibly being eliminated." He then spent most of the interview complaining about past and current employees instead of asking about my qualifications. He definitely wasn't interested after about two minutes of listening to that. It was unprofessional and disorganized.
- What makes you want this job.
Cashier
I heard about a new store opening and that I had missed a career fair. I called the closest store to ask about job openings and they asked me to come in for an interview that day with the new store manager. When I arrived, the manager was interviewing someone else and I had to wait. My interview was supposed to be at 4:00 PM, but I ended up waiting until 4:40 PM. They didn't apologize for being late. After the interview, they said they had cashier spots open and that I'd be contacted for a second interview, but I never heard back.
- Can you explain why your resume is only one page long?
