I had an interview for the Registered Nurse position at Fremont Hospital at 11 am. I waited in the lobby until 12 pm, and was informed the interview was running late. The nurse manager escorted me to a room around 12:15 pm, and the setting felt very informal. She mentioned another nurse manager might join us. She asked about my interest in working at this hospital and some general questions. She also asked questions about psychotropic drugs. She indicated she liked me and that HR would contact me in two weeks, but it's now been three weeks with no call.

First there was a phone interview. Then you have a 1:1 interview with the nurse manager. After that, you wait 1-2 months to hear back. If you send a thank you email, don't assume they'll reply or that you didn't get the job. They need you more.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you discuss psyche medications?
  • Tell me about your experience with behavioral-based nursing scenarios.

It took me about 2 months to get hired from when I applied. First, I had a phone interview with HR, and then I went for an onsite interview with the Director of Nursing. The questions they asked were pretty standard and related to the nursing field.
