Apply online. Then the recruiter calls for a phone interview asking standard questions. Nothing too deep. Then there’s an in person interview which I declined. No one likes to read an essay, not sure why there’s a 39 word minimum.

Behavioral Technical Case

I applied to some jobs at Fremont Bank. The HR person set up a meeting with 3 hiring managers at their office, but one didn't show. They asked basic job questions, about financial spreads, and experience in C&I, CRE, and covenant monitoring, and how I'd handle difficult RMs. Then I had a second interview with the missing manager and the underwriting manager where I had to do a credit test deciding loans. After that, they asked for references, and I had a final phone interview with the VP. They then gave me an offer that was very low. I mentioned I had another offer, and they laughed, saying they couldn't match my salary, benefits, or vacation.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty easy. The questions were mainly behavioral and they asked about my past experience. I basically gave them an in-depth overview about my past experience and different roles. I was sure to include examples of how I used teamwork and problem-solving in my day-to-day activities. They asked a little bit about my coursework and why I was interested in the position. I interviewed with two people and they were both very nice and friendly. No hard questions were asked and I was able to learn more about the company as a whole.

I went through 2 on-site interviews and 3 phone interviews with the CIO, a director, and some engineers. The recruiter mentioned the company was about to extend an offer, but then they went completely silent and never replied. It was super unprofessional, especially not keeping candidates informed.
