Behavioral Other

The interview process was quite straightforward and felt somewhat relaxed. It was intended as a 30-minute phone chat, but the start of the call was a bit unstructured. I recall the interviewer was a bit delayed, and it ended up being a brief conversation due to an awkward flow.

I first had a phone interview with a recruiter in New York who sounded like she was eating her lunch during the call. Next I was called into their office in Burbank to meet with a person from HR and the manager of the position. The offices felt awkwardly unprofessional and a random employee in the lobby kept checking me out. The in-person interview lacked structure. They did not seem to have a firm grasp of the position they were interviewing for and had a hard time answering my questions about specific position details. At the end the HR person said I would definitely be hearing from her soon to let me know next steps or if they were passing. There has since been no response to all follow-up emails and no follow-up contact from her.

It was about 2-3 interviews in total. I talked to users, Chief officers, and HR. Then there were 1-2 rounds of negotiation before they gave me an offer. Before all that, I had to take an IQ and Personality test. The whole thing took about 2-3 weeks from start to getting the offer. I was really impressed when I got to the office, it was so nice and bright and open. Everyone I met was super friendly and genuine, I really felt like I could work well with them. They confirmed my belief that it's possible to work for a company that actually cares about its employees and the world, not just profits.

I met with the Department Manager, and it was a great experience. They asked me some standard interview questions. The manager also took the time to explain what the job entails and how their department fits into the bigger picture of the company.
