First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Freightliner Group.
Team Coordinator
The process was easy. It included a quick, short test of mechanical skills and then some general interview questions. You don't need prior experience for this role. There will be drug and alcohol tests, plus a medical check before you begin working.
- Can you share an instance where you improved a process to make it more efficient?
Operations Manager
The interview experience was very good. The team was friendly and welcoming, which put me at ease. They were supportive when I felt nervous or didn't understand a question, and they rephrased it for me. The building itself was a bit hard to navigate. The interview lasted about an hour and stayed on schedule. Communications and follow-ups were good.
- How would you handle an employee who is causing difficulties?
Management Accountant
I had three interviews. First, they put me in a room with a case study, and then we discussed my findings afterward. I then had more interviews with increasingly senior finance team members who asked me more about industry knowledge than accounting specifically. They seemed really interested after the first interview, but there was no offer, so they brought me in for another interview two weeks later. They again said they were very interested, and I had another interview two weeks after that. I kept following up with my recruiter, but I never got any feedback or clear answers on what was happening - which says something about their culture.
- Can you explain the logistics of how a freight train travels between locations?
Accounting/Bookkeeping
It was a really friendly interview process, they made me feel comfortable. The questions weren't too difficult. First, there was a phone interview, and then I had a face-to-face meeting with the management team to see if I met their requirements.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What was your motivation for choosing our company?
- What unique contributions do you believe you can make to our team?
