The interview process had five stages. First, there was a phone call with HR. Then, a zoom meeting with the department. After that, a case study to do on your own time. Next, an in-person interview with four people. Finally, another zoom meeting. It was a bit of a long process, but it felt reasonable for the role.

I had a great experience throughout the interview process. My point of contact was courteous and accommodating with my work commitments. The interview was conducted efficiently and each interviewer was organized and prepared with questions that fit the role. I had enjoyable conversations with each interviewer and was impressed the CEO took the initiative to personally meet me. Cultural fit seemed just as important as having the proper skill set, so I met with several different employees. This was beneficial for Freestone and allowed me to make sure it was a fit.

I applied online and got an email invitation to interview with the hiring manager a week or two later. They gave me several time slots to pick from, so scheduling was easy and convenient. The interview was online using Teams. The hiring manager was professional and engaging. They asked thoughtful, well-prepared questions that gave me a good sense of the role. I enjoyed the conversation and felt good about it afterward. I got a rejection email about a week after the interview. I asked for more specific feedback to help with my job search, but they said they couldn't provide individual feedback, which was disappointing, although I get that it's a common policy. Overall, communication was smooth, timely, and professional. I don't have any complaints about how the process was handled, just wish there was more transparency with feedback.
