I applied online on FMI's website back in October. They reached out for a quick 15-minute pre-screening phone call in November. Then in December, they got in touch again for a phone interview. The whole process took a bit to get to the interview stage, but it was a phone interview since it was for an internship position.

I had a 10-15 minute call with a recruiter to go over my application and resume. About a week later, I got another call to set up a phone/webX interview with the hiring panel. The interview was pretty typical, and the department managers seemed alright. But, the fourth person, an HR rep, was kind of weird and a little rude. She made things awkward from the start. On top of that, the webX wasn't working, and I had to get someone to help fix it. It took them about 15 minutes to figure out they should just put me on speakerphone. That was my first red flag, along with the awkward HR person.

Had an initial HR phone call where we discussed my salary expectations and some basic technical stuff. Then, after a few weeks, there was a phone interview with a few staff members. They really seemed to know my resume well. They asked about my technical background and future career goals, like where I see myself in 5 years, and also about my teamwork skills. The whole thing took about an hour.
