I applied online to a job posting for a licensed tele-app sales rep. A day later, the department supervisor or manager called me to explain the position and ask about my experience. It seemed like a decent deal, but I couldn't get a clear answer on the number of leads provided. I was also told the job wouldn't start until September, despite the job post saying they are hiring immediately. The post also claimed it's a full-time position, but I was informed it's seasonal with a small chance of becoming full-time. These discrepancies turned me off, and I worried about other potential changes in the company, so I decided to look elsewhere.

A recruiter reached out about this role. Before the actual interview, I had to take some MS Office tests, which seemed a bit off given the job description was for full stack development and assisting senior developers. I passed 4 out of 5, even on programs I'd never used. One I retook twice and failed both times. Later, I found the multiple choice answers for that one were problematic. Despite that, they still moved forward with an interview. Before meeting the interviewer, I chatted with two staff members and observed others. They all seemed very keen for the weekend, giving off a TGIF vibe. While it was just small talk, it felt like people were there for a paycheck, not a career, and company morale seemed low based on my brief observations of people coming and going. The interviewer himself seemed disengaged, distracted, and bored, which was surprising given my positive experiences and feedback in other interviews. His accent also made it tough to understand his questions, so I had to ask him to repeat himself a few times, which probably didn't help. Despite this, I stayed positive and felt confident in my skills matching the job description. They asked about my experience with their specific FTP program. While I hadn't used that exact one, I mentioned I was proficient with three others. A couple of days later, my recruiter called with the news that Freedom Health wasn't moving forward with my application because I lacked experience with their FTP programs and their proprietary software.

HR scheduled the interview and communicated with me via phone and email. I was interviewed by the supervisor and her manager. The interview was in the early morning. They inquired about my clinical background, my experience, how I fit into an office setting, and questions about teamwork. I felt the interview was good and fair, with clear communication about the job and expectations. I was also given opportunities to ask questions as we went.

I got an interview a month after I applied. The interview itself was about an hour long, but that doesn't count the typing test and the CMS knowledge test, which you really need to prep for. I ended up interviewing with the Director of Enrollment and got the job right then and there.
