Project Manager
During the interview process, the company presented a seemingly positive image. However, upon reviewing external feedback, it appears there's a disconnect between their stated goals and the actual support provided to employees, leading to high turnover, with some employees like their CSM leaving within six months, which is evident in the power dynamics observed during interviews.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Intern
The process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone screen, followed by in-person interviews depending on the specific role. They asked standard career questions and included a few situational questions. The interviews were conducted either over Zoom or in person.
- Can you explain what you understand by humble, hungry, and smart?
Marketing
I had a phone screen and then a FaceTime interview, where they didn't even tell me the company name. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview. I'd read some bad Glassdoor reviews beforehand, but decided to go anyway. The interview itself was odd, with a lot of focus on the owner being a genius and him being playfully aggressive with me. It felt unprofessional, but I figured I could handle it. He then offered me more than I asked for, asking why, and I said he wanted me to decide fast. He wanted an answer by Saturday and a Monday start. I declined the offer on Saturday because the company culture seemed off. The recruiter got angry, argued about the reviews, and insisted I speak to the owner. I hung up. The whole experience felt shady, from hiding the company name to their reaction when I declined. It was a lot to learn in an hour-long interview.
- Can you share an example of a time you demonstrated humility, hunger, and intelligence?
Accounting Intern
The interview process involved two in-person interviews. The first was a casual, 30-minute chat with basic background and behavioral questions. The second interview was more intense, only 10 minutes long, and focused mainly on company and product details.
- Can you tell me about what this company does?
- In three words, how would you describe yourself?
- Could you give me a rundown of your resume?
