First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Frazer, LLP.
Audit Associate
The first interview was on zoom with the recruiter. It was more to explain the process and give the company's background. The actual interview was done in person with the two department Partners. I liked that the interview didn't feel super constructed, like they were looking for a specific answer. It was more so them getting to know me. However, I did feel a little grilled on my grades, which in my opinion doesn't really translate to how you perform in the position anyway. I just explained that I worked while going to school so I did the best I could.
- What motivates your interest in pursuing a career in Audit?
Staff Accountant
I met the partner at a Meet the Firms event. Then I sent my resume in via Handshake and was contacted by the HR director shortly after. We scheduled an in-person interview and office tour by the next week. Later, I received an offer within a few days. The whole application to interview process was fairly quick.
- Can you share an instance where you lacked knowledge and describe the steps you took to acquire it?
Audit Staff
The interview process was friendly and welcoming, and it was a two-interview process. The first interview was 1hr and 15min with a manager and senior manager from the audit department, as well as the HR/ talent acquisition manager. The questions were all behavioral questions, with no technical questions. The reason being I was given an accounting test, which I was made aware of when I got the appointment for my interview way in advance, through which the firm measures your knowledge and understanding of the accounting. The test is fairly simple, things one would know if you're an accounting major (No trick questions). The second interview was 1 hr and involved two audit partners and the HR/ talent acquisition manager, and the questions were similar to the first interview, but the partners will let you know expectations from the firm to see how you respond to them. Overall, great experience.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What prompted you to choose accounting as your major?
- Describe your teamwork abilities and whether you tend to take the lead.
Assurance Staff
The interview process was super chill and welcoming, felt very much like a casual chat to get to know each other. The only bummer was that they hit you with a surprise accounting test after about an hour to an hour and a half of talking. Honestly, not even the Big Four does that.
- What made you decide to major in accounting?
