First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Franklin & Marshall College.
Intern
It was a general interview. They wanted to know why I was interested and if I had any experience. I had some experience, so I think it went well. They asked me why I felt I would be a good fit for the position and when I was available.
- Can you tell me about your relevant coursework and GPA?
- What about your overall academic performance is relevant?
Accountant
Submitted an application and then had a phone screen with the hiring manager. After that, I went for an in-person interview on campus with the hiring manager and two other office associates.
- Can you describe your experience with accounting processes?
- Tell me about your previous experience in accounting roles.
Staff Assistant
Applied online and got a call for a phone interview soon after. Then had an initial on-campus interview. Got contacted four weeks later for a follow-up interview. During that second interview, they said a decision would be made the next week and they would let me know. Took five weeks and a few nudges from me before I heard back that the position was filled. I liked the interviews themselves, but the communication wasn't great.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next 5-10 years?
Spanish Teacher
We'll do the interview over Skype. There were three professors on the search committee, they seemed really nice and into my application. You can ask them questions at the end.
- How would you promote the program?
