It was a very thorough interview process. You could tell immediately that they had a clear idea of the type of candidate they were looking for. They were very well-prepared. The HR team is great. They were very open about the role and their expectations.

I had a quick call with HR and then a Teams interview with a developer and the team lead. It was a pleasant chat. They asked me about myself, my wishes, difficult projects I'd handled, my strengths, and weaknesses. The interview wasn't technical, more of a get-to-know-you. They said they'd let me think about it for a day and would get back to me quickly. Since it was holiday season in June, I asked when I could expect feedback. They said possibly the next interview, maybe next week if it worked out. After three weeks with no response, even though I followed up directly the next day, they finally replied after I politely inquired again, saying the team was on vacation and they'd let me know by the end of the week. Of course, I got a rejection, I had honestly stopped expecting one. It felt like they were stalling and waiting for other candidates. The explanation and feedback were quite flimsy. Regarding the company, it seemed a bit old-fashioned, but the interview itself was fair. They could have been clearer about needing a longer time for even the initial screening.

I received a proposal through a headhunter. We had an initial introductory call with the headhunter, followed by two video calls, one with HR and another with my direct manager in Italy. After that, I had a call with the global procurement managers from the parent company in Switzerland.

So my interview process at Franke for a role in the UK was okay to start with, the first interviewer asked stuff straight from a pack, typical STAR questions, nothing too tricky. I moved to the next stage, but that's where it all went downhill. The HR Director asked pretty much the same questions again, even though the first manager was there and knew it was repetitive, but they just let it happen. We even talked about start dates, which made me think I was in with a shot. But then, out of the blue, I got a generic email saying I didn't get it, with zero explanation or feedback. I tried asking for feedback, but they just ignored me and then ghosted me completely, which felt really unprofessional and like they didn't value me as a candidate. I had to chase them for a Subject Access Request to get anything back.
