First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Clinical Instructor
The interview process at Franciscan was very professional and I had a great experience. The University has a great work environment, and all employees work very closely with one another.
- What were your goals in this instructor role?
Administrative Assistant
The hiring process involved two interviews, one by phone and one in person. The communication was professional, and the process was straightforward. During the in-person interview, I had a one-on-one meeting where I was asked questions about my experience and hypothetical scenarios.
- Can you describe your approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously?
Computer Lab Assistant
You go into Sandi's office and sit down. She starts off by asking you about yourself, what else you're involved in, and your strengths and weaknesses. Then she asks if you have any previous customer service experience. After that, she'll ask you some scenario questions. Finally, you'll do a quick training to make sure you know basic computer skills, but it's easy - they'll teach you if you don't know it.
- What would you do if you had an assignment due in the next 10 minutes but a student comes up to you and asks you for help on the computer?
Office Assistant
I found the job posting online and contacted the office to get an application. I sent it back and heard from them within a week. We communicated via email and then met up for an interview. The atmosphere was great and we had a good conversation, but as I found out more about the job, I realized it wasn't the right fit for me then.
- How would your previous work experience benefit you in this role?
