First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Framingham State College.
Administrative Assistant
I got contacted about a week after applying. The application itself took a couple of hours because they asked for a lot, including a DEI statement. The first interview was scheduled for about two weeks later with three people, but it was only 20 minutes long. The questions felt scripted and they took turns reading from it. There wasn't much time to answer, especially for the scenario questions. I didn't get a chance to ask them any questions. It felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. I withdrew my application before they made an offer because I wanted to focus on better opportunities and didn't want to wait months. I also didn't have a good feeling about working there.
- In what ways can you promote diversity?
- Describe how you manage conflict.
Assistant
The interview process was professional and organized, and they clearly explained the next steps. I interviewed with a panel of supervisors over Zoom in a few rounds. They kept the salary range private until they made the job offer.
- Can you share your relevant experience?
- Could you answer some behavioral questions?
Security Desk Attendant
The interview process was stress free and organized, with good question and conversation flow. I felt my opinion was valued and was informed about my start date and expectations.
- What qualities would you bring to this job?
Assistant Professor
The interview was really thorough. It was quite an extensive process, but the committee was engaged, and I had a good experience overall. I enjoyed meeting the students; they were hard-working and grounded.

- Can you elaborate on your qualifications and how they align with the requirements of this role?
