Standard process - recruiter call then a call with a senior VP. Pleasant and normal interview questions about background and experience. They were looking for a lot of experience for this plant location role.

I found this role on LinkedIn and connected with their HR team. I have 10 years of experience in digital/growth marketing and was already a customer, so I felt like a good fit. I spoke with 7 people across 8 scheduled interviews, starting with the CEO and CFO, then moving on to VPs and Directors, plus two meetings with a consultant. Even though I enjoyed all my conversations and they were positive, this was a lot of interviews (10 calls total over 2 months), which was my first red flag. After that, I provided references, and one replacement reference (a CEO of a large brand) took a week to schedule. All my references gave great feedback. Surprisingly, after 5 days of no response from Framebridge, I got an email on a Friday saying they weren't moving forward because of my references. I was shocked by the reason, but not by the ghosting, which had happened before. The interviews themselves were fine, just too many and not in a panel format. Everyone was friendly. I was supposed to start mid-August, but didn't hear back until September 6th. There was a lot of radio silence, and I expected to be passed over by mid-August. Then they reached out again for references. So, if you don't mind being ghosted for weeks, be aware that they'll reject you for reference communication issues after all that. 8 interview calls (or 10 if you count the recruiter), and over 2 months of waiting? Seriously. Feels like I dodged a bullet.

It was a very chill, non-confrontational interview. Everyone seemed really nice, polite, and welcoming. It feels like a very diverse place to work, with people from all sorts of backgrounds. The workplace is pretty laid-back, and they're using some cutting-edge technology with their equipment.

Had a quick chat with the hiring manager about me, the company, and the job. Then, I did a pair-programming exercise with a senior engineer using Ruby. After that, I interviewed with some colleagues where we talked about the team, what they're working on, and the company in general.
