I talked with HR and the head of analytics. It was a bunch of technical questions about my coding skills and my experience with language models and data. They also asked about how I work in a team and collaborate, and also if I can work by myself.

The hiring process was long. The first interview was in mid-May, but the second one didn't happen until the end of June. I didn't get a final call until July. Jill, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, was great, and so were the other two people I interviewed with for the second round. The final interview lasted a bit over an hour.

I applied online and HR got back to me about 1-2 weeks later via email and said they would call for a phone interview. The interview was scheduled for 30 minutes but went on for over an hour where we discussed the job, company culture, salary, a potential start date, and next steps. We then set up a time for a formal face-to-face interview. They emailed saying they were excited to meet me and that the interview would be 2 hours long, requiring a presentation and participation from 4 senior leaders including directors and a CCO. Upon arrival, the leaders were very kind and welcoming, and the interview felt comfortable. I thought my presentation went well and the conversation was smooth, answering all questions honestly. At the end, I asked about next steps and was told they still had phone interviews and screenings to finish. This made me think either I didn't do well or they were wasting my time after a final interview with senior leadership. I mentioned I had put off two other offers and wanted to make a decision quickly, asking about the tentative start date. They clarified it was for the next training but a trainer wasn't strictly needed by then. This prompted them to say they'd get back to me ASAP. I followed up with a thank you email and received a call saying they understood my time constraints and that I was a strong candidate but they weren't ready to make a decision and wanted to continue the process. This made me lose interest as I felt like a backup plan. I noted the company's strong loyalty to its top management, which was a key reason I applied. I believed I had a real chance because of how they presented it. My presentation focused on workplace culture, motivational enablers, and engagement.
