First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fourth.
Account Executive
They were upfront about the hiring timeline being two weeks and kept in touch at every stage, until they suddenly stopped. After completing four interviews, one presentation, an assessment, and discussing salary and start dates, I would expect at least a confirmation that they've gone with another candidate. They became unresponsive to calls, texts, and emails. Everything leading up to that point was very promising.
- Can you describe your approach to prospecting, given this is a role focused on new business development?
Events Executive
There were 4 rounds in total from start to finish. First, an HR call, then a Manager call. After that, a face-to-face interview with the managers, followed by an interview with the team and an interview with management.
- Could you tell me why you're interested in this particular role?
- Describe a significant challenge you've faced and overcome in your career.
- What metrics or methods do you use to determine if an event was successful?
Marketing Operations Manager
The recruiter contacted me and we had a chat, then I interviewed with the hiring manager. After that, I had four interviews back-to-back with the team. Everyone was really nice and clearly explained the problems they needed to solve with this role and how it fit into the team's goals. I was surprised there was no communication after all these interviews. I reached out to the recruiter weeks after my last interviews and got no response. After investing so much time in interviews and being told they were interested the whole time, getting ghosted felt like a slap in the face. I would have appreciated at least a generic 'no' if I wasn't a good fit or lacked a key skill. Silence is worse.
- Can you describe your current responsibilities?
Finance
Applied online and got a call from the recruiter about a week later. Had a screen with her, then spoke with the hiring manager who was upfront and informative. Afterwards, I interviewed with some team members who seemed inexperienced, impatient, and on edge. The previous person left due to burnout, which made sense. They're backed by a PE firm, and a manager mentioned working 70 hours/week.
- Can you discuss your background and experience?
