First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Four Points By Sheraton.
Front Desk Receptionist
The interview process was nice. They were quick to respond. The whole thing took about a week. They did a phone screening first and then an in-person interview. The people interviewing me were nice and pleasant. Overall, it was a great experience.
- Do you have any prior experience in Hospitality?
Food and Beverage
The process was good and very nice and smooth. The user experience was great and everything was good. It was a little difficult, but not really. The working environment is very nice. The interview was short with not many questions. The leader was great, and it was kinda fun also. Thanks.

Hotel Receptionist
I applied for a reception supervisor position. They called me and offered me an in-person interview at the hotel. They mentioned on the phone it was for the reception role. During the interview, they told me it wasn't for the supervisor position because, according to them, I don't have enough experience. I did explain I have experience managing teams, but they said I don't know how to use the software or other internal applications, so I would have to be a receptionist with a very low and uncompetitive salary. They offered me two 6-month contracts and then goodbye, with the possibility of a transfer to other hotels in the company. They said they would call or notify me either way. As you can imagine, they didn't do any of that. In the end, I was interviewed by three people who seemed to be untouchable within the company.

Sales Coordinator
I applied for a sales coordinator job at Four Points By Sheraton back in February 2018. Applied online and then called about two weeks later. Spoke with the Manager and then went in to meet them. It was a regular interview where they asked about my background and degree. About two weeks after that, I called again but the manager had been replaced. I tried to talk to the new manager and it was like pulling teeth to find out if I still had a chance. One of the front desk people was really rude and acted annoyed when I asked basic questions. It's already tough finding a job and I was just asking simple questions, and they were really belittling, even suggesting I should interview for a front desk job. It seems like a really political place, and if you don't fit a certain mold, it's a no. It's more about who you know than what you know. Nobody with a bachelor's degree and previous front desk experience should have to work the front desk.
- What software are you familiar with using?
- What would you contribute to sales and how would you manage relationships with existing clients?
