First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Four County Counseling Ctr.
School Counselor
The interviewer was really nice. It was a simple, straightforward process. We talked about my experience and degree, and they based the pay on that. They also went into more detail about the role and what's expected. I got the feeling that management offers good support here.
- How do you feel your degree applies to this role, and how does your past work experience relate to the position you're seeking?
- Can you explain how your degree is relevant to this position and how your previous work experience connects to the job you've applied for?
Case Manager
I submitted my application online and then didn't hear anything for over a month. The first interview was pretty relaxed, but then they said I'd get a call either way and I didn't hear back. About 3 more weeks went by, and then someone from another department called me for a second interview. I ended up accepting the position.
- How can you share client information with school staff while complying with HIPPA regulations?
Case Manager
I had an interview with three people who are current employees. Each person asked me a bunch of questions. They presented me with a situation and asked me to talk about a time I dealt with something similar to answer it. I also got to explain why I think I'm a good hire. I talked about my skills and my 12 years of experience in mental health, which included working with the criminal justice system, keeping records up-to-date, running groups for people with dual diagnoses, and mainly working with severely mentally ill individuals.
- Tell me about a time you were told you didn't follow the right steps.
Human Resources Assistant
Got hired through staffing at first but then interviewed for a permanent role. The interview itself was about an hour long. After I accepted the offer, I went through the background check and other processes. They only hire one person per month. The job requirements seem way more than what's expected, like needing a degree or master's isn't necessary to manage an office.
- How could you contribute to making our department operate more efficiently?
