I applied online and then had an interview with the CEO, which felt positive. About three weeks after that, I had a technical interview. The interviewer was neutral, and the interview involved a coding question and a short, non-coding data science question. I felt good about the coding part, but wasn't totally confident on the second question. I received a rejection email just a few hours after the interview on Friday evening, which made me feel like the decision was already made. I also noticed a lack of diversity, with no women in R&D roles based on LinkedIn, which seemed like a major red flag.

It was a multi-stage interview. First, I had a screening phone call to go over my resume. Then, I was given a take-home data science exam. After I finished the exam, I had another phone call to discuss my answers with a Senior Data Scientist. Following that, I got to interview on-site. The on-site interview had four or five parts, with a lunch break in between where two junior employees took me to a nice restaurant. The interviews involved tough data science, probability, and business case questions. They mainly wanted to see how I approach difficult problems and my thought process.

had an initial phone screen with a data scientist who talked through my resume and asked basic coin toss probability questions. it was a positive and friendly experience. then, i interviewed with one of the founders about economic case studies; he was mostly friendly.
