First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Founder Shield.
Learning & Development Associate
The interview process was pretty straightforward and quick. I had a phone interview and then three back-to-back video interviews about a week later. The phone interview lasted about 25 minutes, and the video interviews were supposed to last 30 minutes each (though one ended up lasting nearly 1.5 hours). I was asked the same general questions each time.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself?
- What is your motivation for wanting to work with us?
Analyst
I got a call for an interview with the head of people ops. The phone interview was about 15 mins and went well. They then asked me to do a personality test. I sent it back an hour later and haven't heard anything back. I've followed up with my point of contact twice since then, once 2 weeks after the interview, and then another 2 weeks after my first email. Haven't heard back, which I find really unprofessional and rude.
- Could you tell us about your background?
Intern
The process was really smooth. The talent acquisition team is great. First, there was a phone interview, and then an in-person interview. The whole thing took just a few weeks. I was happy with how it all turned out.
- Are you an organized person?
- Could you retrieve a specific assignment from your freshman year of college if I asked?
Underwriter
The interview process was great. Everything was straightforward and easy to follow - management didn't wait weeks in between interviews to reach out with thoughts and feedback like at some other places.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What aspects of underwriting do you find most enjoyable?
