I applied for a role and was contacted by HR for an initial screening. We scheduled a Zoom meeting for the following week. On the day of the interview, I waited in the Zoom room for 15 minutes before initiating contact. The interviewer then explained she had Zoom issues and proposed switching to Teams. After the interview, she mentioned I'd get an update in a week. It's been two weeks, and despite my follow-up, I haven't heard back.

This was the longest process I've ever been involved in that spanned 7 weeks and took 6 interviews before the role was 'put on hold' for no reason given. The interviews were simple and the job did not seem too complex. They kept mentioning a steep learning curve and attempted to make the role seem more complex than it likely was. I was called a 'flight risk' as I have had an international career thus far and relocating to CT due to my spouse did not seem to satisfy them. People seemed fine, a couple came across as a bit drab but this role was not for quantum physics, it was basically to offer a white glove services to their HNW clients. Never before has a company messed me around so much and wasted my time.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was initially contacted by a third-party recruiter and after a quick intro chat, they invited me to interview. The company then scheduled virtual interviews with 3 people. Unfortunately, 2 of them rescheduled, and one of them rescheduled twice, with one reschedule happening just 5 minutes before our scheduled time. After these 3 interviews, I was told to expect '2 or 3 more' interviews and that they weren't sure who they would be with. After several weeks, the recruiter reached out again to schedule 3 more interviews with 3 different people. Once I completed those, I was ghosted and heard nothing back from anyone at the company or the recruiter. I felt the process was way too long, disorganized, and the rescheduling and lack of communication felt disrespectful.

It was more of a conversation which made for a comfortable experience. I walked them through my resume and we discussed the position. An interview works two ways and I was afforded the opportunity to ask questions about the company. Overall it was a great experience.
