Applied via the college website and got contacted within 2 days to schedule an interview. It was a pretty straightforward process. They told me the pay was fixed, so no room for negotiation. The job involves spending all day on the phone, cold-calling people who had shown interest in mortgage refinancing recently. It's tough because people don't want to talk. The hours are long, with a one-and-a-half-hour lunch break. The hourly pay is quite low for a graduate. After the first interview, I had a second one where I was shown around the office and met some colleagues.

The interview process was straightforward. I first spoke with a team leader, and if that went well, I had another interview with a different team leader. Following that, a third interview occurred. My interviews were all on the same day, and I was hired immediately. Although I didn't get a tour of the facilities, other candidates interviewed later were given one, but most didn't return. The role was advertised as marketing, my field, but it was actually sales and telemarketing. The leads were people who had applied for loan refinancing, and the company bought their info, so the prospects didn't know how their details were obtained. The job involved convincing people to use this company for their mortgage refinance instead of the one they initially applied to. This crucial detail about the job's nature wasn't disclosed during the interview. Many people left during training once they realized the actual job responsibilities.

I got a call from a recruiter in Jacksonville, Fla. The interview process was a joke. I interviewed twice and was offered the job after the second interview. The managers seemed loopy throughout the entire process. One manager was eating lunch when I arrived for my interview, as if he was expecting me. He bragged about only being 28 and making $70k. I then met with a second manager, who was 26, and he welcomed me to the team. After waiting four weeks for these people to start the job, I told them to find someone else for the position. I shadowed them, and it looked like hell. The employees were incompetent and sounded foolish on the phone. I'd be surprised if this Rochester branch is still open.

They do 3 interviews, a learning interview, shadowing, and then a final interview. The first interview is very relaxed, they tell you about themselves and the company. The shadowing lets you know about the day-to-day life of the company and get a bit of dirt on the company. The third is where they ask you more typical interview questions. They will also let you know in that interview if they will hire you or not.
