Project Manager
The interview process kicked off with a phone screening by HR. Following that, there was a second round, which was a Teams interview with a Project Management Partner. This second interview involved discussing my experience, focusing on major challenges I faced and how I overcame them. We also talked about my working style, and I was asked scenario-based questions, like how I handle not knowing an answer, and to reflect on past challenges with a focus on being truthful and learning from them.
- Could you tell me about the scale and budget of the projects you've managed before?
- Describe some significant challenges you've faced in your past projects and how you tackled them.
- How do you handle situations where you're unsure of the answer or solution?
Project Manager
HR first set up a phone interview via email but didn't call as planned. I called them, and they apologized for being busy and rescheduled for the next day. HR again didn't call, so I called them, and this time they didn't apologize. During this second call, the HR person seemed uninterested and didn't ask any questions. They said I'd get feedback within a week, but I never did, and my follow-up email got no response. Honestly, HR seems unprofessional and not committed to fair hiring. They've consistently broken their word, showing they're untrustworthy and unreliable, which is surprising for such a well-known company.
- What motivates you to join this company?
Project Manager
The company gets a lot of applications, so the process felt a bit disorganized. The recruiter scheduled my interview right before the holidays after canceling once, which was fine, and I had to adjust my holiday plans to attend. I could only reach the recruiter by email; calls always went to voicemail. The interview went well, but I never got any feedback. I had to follow up with the recruiter, who casually responded a month later, saying the role was on hold and they might reconsider it. A week later, the post was readvertised. I still haven't heard back, so they might have considered someone else.
- Can you describe how you manage pressure during tight deadlines?
