First I met with HR and the warehouse supervisor. Then we took a tour of the plant, and I had to complete a drug test. After that, I waited about two weeks for the drug test results to come back before they could set a start date. Once that was cleared, I completed the final paperwork and a background check. After the offer was extended, I had to get the right safety gear, like steel-toe boots, long-sleeved shirts, and jeans. On my first day, I had safety training and some OSHA training. They gave me all the onsite equipment like a hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves. Then I was sent to the warehouse for on-the-job training.

I applied through a staffing agency and was contacted by the company who wanted to interview me in person. When I got there, a very rude person met me and said my resume wasn't what they were looking for. They were on their phone the whole time during the interview, which was really uncomfortable. The whole experience felt unprofessional. My advice to the company is to do your homework before asking someone to come in for an interview. If you do ask someone to come in, be nice to them. If this is how they treat people, other applicants should be careful.

A recruiter from the company first got in touch to see if I was interested. Then there was a phone interview with HR, followed by a phone interview with the operations manager since he was traveling. I met in person with HR, the Departmental Director, and the Operations Manager. Then, I had a meeting with the Sr. Level Business Group VP, which seemed a bit different. They made a verbal offer, but it was pending a background check, work history verification, reference checks, and drug & alcohol tests.

I had a first call with HR, then a second with the Project Manager. It was about a 30-minute virtual interview with the Project Manager, and then they called me back to set up an in-person visit and interview. The in-person interview was on site, I toured the manufacturing floor, and then sat with the Project Manager and Plant Manager.
