Bookstore Associate
I had a 5-minute phone call interview to see if I sounded confident and didn't say "um" or "uh" a lot. Then there was a group interview with several candidates and one interviewer before I got a job offer.
- What animal would you be and why?
Sales Associate
You'll start with an application that has a couple of short essay questions, then a brief phone interview, followed by a group interview with about 6-12 people. If you plan on staying for the whole semester, make a good impression fast because you never know who can help you out. This is true for any job, but here you see the managers who decide your daily tasks, and you work with them.
- How has your previous experience equipped you for this role?
Key Operator
It was a group interview. There were 3 hiring managers and three groups of interviewees. We rotated and got interviewed by them. We were asked questions and continued rotating. Afterwards, we had a short time to interact with the hiring managers one on one to make an impression.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
Dining Associate
It was a group interview. The manager asked general questions about hospitality, and we all took turns answering. It was pretty laid-back and didn't take too much time.
- How crucial is making customers happy to you?
