It started with a basic HR interview. They asked a few questions about my previous and current job (like, tell me about...). Then there were several questions focused on my management and leadership approaches. They also asked a couple of questions where I had to describe an issue and how I dealt with it.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • They asked about my education, skills, and experience, but the main thing they really wanted to know was my salary requirement. While my expectation was pretty average for the area, I got the sense they were hoping to find someone willing to accept much less.

I had a phone screening with someone who does the same job in a different area, it was pretty basic. Then a recruiting manager called me for a second time. At the end of that call, I was told I'd move on. But then, radio silence. I followed up and was told to wait, but after two more weeks with no word, I'm writing this. It's like they leave you hanging, which I didn't expect from a tech company.

  • Is extensive travel something you can handle?

I was brought in to interview for a developing team. While the CSR - Traveler position is not new to SureID, it is new to the Minot office. The CSR - Traveler would cover the mid-west. I was interviewed by a local manager as well as a woman that was brought in from cooperate in Hillsboro, OR. This part of the interview lasted about 30 minutes and was fairly casual. Then, I was brought into the HR woman's office to be asked further questions and to review the set salary. There is not negotion for the hourly rate, however, I was told that CSR - Travelers would make overtime while they were traveling.

  • Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
  • How would you describe your work ethic in three words?
  • Can you describe a time you faced a challenge in the office and how you dealt with it?
