So, I interviewed for the fortigate front-end team for a Web developer-1 position. First was a 3-hour online test with 5 questions. It covered getting and filtering JSON data for display with specific CSS, an algorithm problem, a Javascript function for filtering JSON, network diagram analysis focusing on IP/ports and NAT, and a C-language question about pointers. Then, there was a 2-hour in-person interview where we talked about my resume, I did a Javascript coding question, analyzed a given code snippet to predict its output, and discussed browser requests, GET/POST differences, and some Linux commands.

The interview process started with a written technical test that had a 2-hour time limit and included 5 coding questions in 3 different languages, plus an optional bonus question submitted after the time was up. After that, there was a resume discussion with a manager where some technical questions were asked, but it felt more like a screening. The last interview was a panel interview where they reviewed the answers from the written test. I spent at least 10 hours total on the process, including the bonus question. I got a standard rejection email a few days after the third interview, which seemed to go well, and the recruiter wouldn't give any feedback on why I wasn't selected. I thought the job sounded okay, but their communication wasn't great.

First, there was a written test. Interns don't need to do this part. Then, two team managers interviewed me. One of them asked about the stuff on my resume to check if I was truthful and to see my limits. The other manager reviewed my answers from the written test and asked why I answered them that way, to understand my thinking process.
