I submitted my application online and heard back within about a week to schedule a phone chat. It was a pretty standard phone interview where they went over the company and the specifics of the job. I asked about why the position was open, and they were really open about the role's history and its turnover rate. She was upfront about what they were looking for in a candidate and which parts of my resume caught their eye – which I appreciated. By the end of our talk, it was clear the role wasn't quite a fit for my long-term goals, but she mentioned that the next steps would have involved meeting with 2-3 people from the team I'd be working with. After that, there would have been a panel interview with four people, including my potential direct manager. The final step would have been an interview with a lead or an executive. The whole process seemed pretty clear-cut.

I applied for the Technical Support Specialist role at Form Assembly about three weeks ago and got an email inviting me for a phone interview. After confirming my availability, we set a date and time. I was all prepped with my phone and a notepad, but the phone never rang. I figured the interviewer might be running late, but after two hours, it was clear it wasn't going to happen that day. I was really disappointed. I thought maybe the interviewer had an emergency, so I waited for an email explaining things, but it never came. I ended up emailing them to see if they wanted to reschedule, but I never heard back. It looks like I was ghosted. Honestly, don't waste your time with them; they don't seem to respect people's time.

The interview process was pretty solid for a remote company. The recruiter onboarded me well, so there were no surprises. It mainly consisted of a recruiter call, meeting the team, and then a challenge. The challenge was to create a feature to improve conversion, which is a standard product thinking problem. I developed a strategy based on user interviews. The product team wasn't keen on the idea of adding customization based on customer feedback, as they doubted it would boost conversion. I didn't get the role and, upon asking for feedback on my strategy, there was no room for a response. Despite not getting the role, the interview was good compared to others, and it was a paid design challenge. However, I felt our values didn't align.

The interview process was efficient and informative. FormAssembly does a great job of getting to know you professionally and personally through out the entire process. There were 5 total steps to the interview process, including the recruiter call. 1. Recruiter call 2. Interview with hiring manager 3. Group interview with several CSM team members and other cross functional teams 4. Assignment 5. Final group interview with CSM team (more of a casual conversation) Very impressed with how the whole process was put together, one of the better recruiting experiences I’ve had.
