Applied online, then got invited for an interview pretty fast. The interview itself was weird. It was for a diversity internship, but it only had four situational questions, like 'tell me a time you did X'. No chance to introduce myself or talk about my background. They said they only had a redacted version of my application, missing diversity info. They kept asking about negative stuff like conflict, setbacks, and feedback, which I answered honestly, mentioning my disability and background. The lead interviewer seemed surprised and didn't ask follow-ups. They were also from a different department. Got a generic rejection email after almost three weeks. They ignored my request for feedback. Seems like diversity is just a buzzword here. If they really cared, they'd know feedback is important and you can't judge someone on four questions with an interviewer who couldn't relate.

The interviewers seemed really disapproving of everything I said, even though I started out feeling confident and excited. Their reactions made me super nervous and uncomfortable right away. It was a bummer because I was really looking forward to this chance and thought I'd be a good fit. Usually, I can think about what I could have done better after a bad interview, but this time I'm not sure there was much more I could have done to get ready. They send some papers beforehand to help you get ready for questions and learn about the culture, but those documents didn't really match the kind of questions they asked.

It began with an online application, which I had to submit right when they started accepting applications. About two weeks after that, I got an email inviting me to an interview in London. During the London interview, I first had to do a quick math test, which was pretty easy, mostly like level 4-5 stats/maths stuff. After the test, I had an interview with three people from the GES faculty where they asked me about my economics knowledge, why I wanted to do the placement, and general competency stuff.
