The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, I had a 30-minute in-person meeting with the doctors who own the practice. Then, on a different day, I spent a few hours shadowing. They offered me the job the very next day. Super easy.

The HR person was late for the online interview and didn't even know which job we were interviewing for at the start. It seemed like they wanted someone to handle everything – social media, content creation, SEO, digital marketing, etc. – for only okay pay. I reached out three times to ask about the status, but got no reply at all.

A talent acquisition consultant from Forefront reached out to set up a video interview. After the interview, the TA said she'd send over her notes. Two days later, I got a voicemail saying two managers wanted to do a panel interview. I left a voicemail with my availability for the recruiter. The TA didn't call that day or the next. I called and left another voicemail, then sent an email. The TA promised a call the next day, but it didn't happen. The following week, I contacted the TA again, and she said she'd call the next day. That also didn't happen. After a few days with no response, I followed up again to ask about my candidacy and if the HRBP role was still open. I finally got a straight answer: the two managers were already narrowing down candidates and didn't want to interview anyone else. It was frustrating to be told they wanted to set up a panel interview, only for them to change their minds. I felt strung along and had to chase them. This process didn't respect my busy schedule or the time I spent trying to find slots for a pending panel interview. It was a very sloppy and unprofessional process, and I wouldn't want to work anywhere that treats candidates this way.

Presentation Technical

After noticing typos on their website, I was contacted by a recruiter who seemed nice. I got through the phone screen and was told to expect further contact. Then, on a Friday, I was asked to create a mock training video about a hobby. Because it was a holiday weekend and I had other plans, I said I'd submit it the following Monday. I was annoyed that their management couldn't do a live presentation, which is standard. I was instructed to record myself using their Zoom, but I needed a host key to do so. The recruiter had to get a new link from his boss. I had to ask him AGAIN to let me into the meeting. While I was getting ready for the 10-minute presentation, I could hear him in another meeting in the background. I'm sure my presentation wasn't great because I was so over it. I had to present to nobody and try to use Zoom tools without any feedback. I talked to pretend participants and just amused myself knowing this job wasn't for me. I got a rejection email two weeks later, but I was honestly relieved it wasn't a good fit.
